Today is Thursday and I was clocked out at 12:45! What started as a routine 4 year-old well check-up for Landry turned into so much more! Braden was puny yesterday, complaining of a sore throat. He came home from school and soaked in the bathtub for over 45 minutes, then laid in our bed watching cartoons all evening. Since Landry had her check-up scheduled anyway, I went ahead and took him to get checked out. He has an ugly case of strep throat that made the doctor cringe. That's not all: Landry had fever too, but no problem with her throat. She has ear infections in both ears. She has not had one in so long! However, both tubes have come out, and her chronic congestion finally caught up with her. She's tough as a boot because she's still not complaining!
We've had quite a sick season since the first of the year! I am so glad that we got them in to the doctor and got them started on medicine before Tripp's arrival. They should be feeling much better in a day or two, and we shouldn't have to worry about them being contagious when I go into the hospital.
We are scheduled to get the carpets cleaned this afternoon, then a lady is coming to clean the house on Saturday. I need to make a big Wal-Mart trip, but besides that I suppose we are ready for baby! Jason had a surprise diaper shower yesterday at school. I'll have to post a picture of our diaper/wipe collection in Tripp's closet. I am positive that we won't have to buy any of either product for at least six months!!
