Braden has been learning to ride his bike without the training wheels! It has been quite an adventure that we started on Labor Day. It seemed that when he was riding his bike with the training wheels that they never touched the ground. Well, once we took them off, he had a very hard time figuring out how to balance! The biggest struggle was getting him to pedal. I think he was afraid of going to fast and crashing, so he would pedal one or two revolutions and stop. Mom and dad tried to convince him that it would be easier if he would just pedal and get some momentum going! That first day was pretty rough, but he got the hang of it last night. The first time I let go, he turned to look if I was holding on and he crashed! It's been fun, but it has been hard work. Jason and I would switch off on who was holding on. It's pretty hard bending down to hold on and keeping up with the bike at the same time!
School is going good for both kids. Braden is learning how to spell the basic color words. He brings home these cute little songs that his teacher tells him to teach to us. I never pictured myself being taught a song on how to spell red by my 5 year old!
Landry is enrolled in a new semester of dance class. She is super excited! Braden registered for soccer a month ago, but we still haven't heard anything about it. Evidently, their first game is supposed to be next Saturday, so maybe we'll hear something next week!
My pregnancy is going well. Everyone wants to know if I think it's a boy or a girl, and I don't have a clue! I have gotten Jason to agree to find out. He was not wanting to find out the sex at the 20-week sonogram, but I've begged and pleaded! That will be coming up in the middle of October sometime. I'll also get to have one of those cool 4-D color sonograms at 32 weeks. That was all pretty new when I was pregnant with Landry, so I never had one done. I've seen videos and pictures of them and they are amazing.
