We've officially got a runner in the family. I don't mean a runner as in a marathoner, I mean a runner as a go-fer. Braden has adopted the role of "running" the rental movies to the drop box at Blockbuster. He got the biggest kick out of doing this on Saturday. When he got back to the van he asked, "Can I put the movies in the box every time?" Jason and I looked at each other and said, "You bet you can!" He feels quite priveleged, although Landry felt a little left out. We justified it to her by saying that she can do it when she's big enough to buckle and unbuckle her own seat belt! Serious business at our house, huh?
We did some major work in the flower beds this weekend. Jason says that we shouldn't call them flower beds when the only thing filling them is mulch (and weeds). It was also free dump weekend in Tolar, so we took four loads of junk to the dump. We talked of the need to have a massive garage sale, but that sounds like so much work. We have tons of baby stuff that we need to get rid of, but the chore of sifting through it all sounds time consuming.
I suppose I've resigned to the fact that we are going to get Braden a dog for his birthday. It's been 3 against 1 for a long time, and I guess I'm giving in. I've just never been a pet lover, but I can learn to love a good dog! We're thinking of a Weimereimer (sp?) or a boxer. I would like to have a dog to run with me in the mornings. Kind of like my own little personal bodyguard. I haven't encountered much more than fenced barking dogs in Tolar, but you never know what's out there. Speaking of, I need to get out there and do my run now!
