Christmas 2006

This was the best Christmas yet! I'm sure it is that way when you have kids... until they are teenagers!! Braden and Landry loved everything they got. It's so fun to watch them open the gifts, and you can tell right away if the the gift was great. And you never know! The Superman that Braden had been anticipating for over a month was liked, but the $12 Nerf dart gun was LOVED!

Landry got her Baby Alive. This is the one that talks, eats, sucks a bottle, and yes-- goes potty! Sometimes after she goes #2 she says, "Ooh, I made a stinky!" What in the world are these toy manufacturers thinking? Landry had changed at least 15 wet baby doll diapers because she runs to her bathroom sink and fills up her baby bottle every 5 minutes. I finally told her that she is going to make her baby sick if she keeps feeding her. I haven't even opened the baby food yet, because I don't want to introduce her to the poop feature. She did bring the baby to me shortly after we had taken her out of the box... I had to extract a carrot from the baby's mouth because Lanny Lou thought she could eat real food!

Braden wore his new Dallas Cowboys football jersey (helmet included) all day yesterday. He says he wants to be number "5 and 5" because that was his daddy's football number. Should have seen Jason swell up with pride on that one! He's quite the marksman with his dart gun (they're styrofoam darts). And he's got enough superheroes and terrifying reptiles to keep him busy through 2007.

Jason and I are exchanging gifts for New Year's this year. We wanted to go shopping together, but we didn't get an opportunity before Christmas so we may start a new tradition. Thanks to everyone who contributed to our wonderful Christmas! We have spent some great time with family, and we actually have one more Christmas exchange to go with the Marshes.
