Odd week

Today is Thursday, although it is hard for me to fathom this. I was off on leisure Monday, a planned day off. Braden ended up being truly sick Monday night, with a fever and sore throat. I took him in to Dr. Watts Tuesday, and it is/was the ever-dreaded Strep throat. He was charged as highly contagious until 24 hours after antibiotics were started. That meant no school until Wednesday after lunch. My need for a day off is gone! I've cleaned closets, sorted bills, vacuumed several times, etc. Something in me just wants to go all the time!

Braden feels fine!! He is a tough one. He and Landry have had a good week. Except for getting in trouble yesterday, their behavior has been great. The issue yesterday was the wicked turtle sand box. Don't ever buy one of those. It seems like a great idea, you know, those green Little Tikes plastic sand boxes, where the shell of the turtle is the lid. You keep the sand covered so it's not used as cat litter, and the sand doesn't get wet when it rains. Nice thought, but don't waste your money. The lid warps and it never fits on, so it does get wet when it rains. On top of that, it has some kind of magnetic effect with the kids. I can't think of any dirtier water for them to play in, and they go to it every time! They got into it yesterday, but I don't think it will happen again! Catch my drift? We need to dispose of the turtle!
