Subconscious strike

I guess I have subconsciously been on a blogging strike. Actually, we have been having some major computer issues that have made me want to stay away from anything related to the computer! The internet and email was running super slow. Jason had done all the spyware/virus updates, blah blah blah. Still slow as Christmas. He figured it out last night when he found a temporary file folder with 13,000 Adobe Acrobat files in it! Bingo. We're back on track with the high speed everything! Once you've had a fast computer, it's just no fun to have to sit and wait on stuff to pull up!

We've had a busy weekend... of course. We had a birthday dinner on Friday night for my mom's 60th! Just the adults, which was very nice. Then, Saturday held a kid birthday party for our friend, Carson. Of course, we tuned in to the Aggies vs. LSU Saturday night. What a heart-breaking loss! Good to see the Aggies in the tournament though... Whoop! Today was filled with church, nap, and having the Whites over for supper. So, that's how it happens; that is a perfect recipe for filling up a weekend!

Landry is still feeling well! Braden's cough is gone. My cough only creeps around at night. Jason is pulling through as the most healthy one of the bunch! We are a much more healthy household than a month ago, and that is totally awesome!

What are the kids up to? Landry got two new babies this weekend: baby boy and baby girl. They are keeping her busy with diaper changes and the whole bit. They take more naps than I've ever heard of. Braden has baseball fever. He has a new batter's helmet and real wooden bat. He loves to hit the ball! Unfortunately the bat found Landry's face earlier this evening. Completely an accident, but the bat had to be put away for outside use only. Of course, that should have been done in the first place, but it was one of those parent oversights!

Doesn't every younger sibling get nailed with a bat at some point in their life? I remember mine like it was yesterday. Our bat was a 2x6 board and I was playing catcher. Got a little too close for comfort and came out with a bloody lip and nose. Live and learn, live and learn. My sister was talking about the time our oldest brother told her to stick her tongue to an iced fence post. Oh yes, she did it and her tongue stuck! That's just part of life, but what fun memories we make in those experiences. I hope that Braden and Landry grow up being buddies. They are so fun to watch, and I hope they sit around the table on my 60th birthday and talk about "remember when's."
