Our daughter is so smart! Of course, I am not a bit biased. She came across the lid to this putty of Braden's, walked into the dining room and grabbed the empty container, put the lid on, then announced "I did it."
The kids met Santa this morning. Braden is learning so much this holiday season, and he is seriously in the Christmas Spirit! I asked him if Santa talked about why we celebrate Christmas. "Yes, momma, it's because Jesus was a baby at Christmas, and Mary had him, so we have his birthday." Pretty good for a 3-year old explanation!
I've sure been getting a lot of Christmas cards in the mail the past few days. Is it really that time of year? I don't know if I'll get them out before the 25th this year. I usually do the "what we've done this year" letter and send it out with a picture. I love getting those letters, especially when it's someone you wish you kept in better contact with, but just don't. There's not a great excuse, but I think we all have those people. Anyway, we get this one every year that is from a more well-to-do bunch than what we come from. We have to roll our eyes a little at the things they put in the letter. "We went here and there, did this and that, our child is a genius, and we'll make it even better next year." OK, so maybe I have issues, but I'm only human and it makes me want to gag. There's the real me, uncut! Please don't not send me a letter because you think it will make me gag. It's not yours, plus we've already gotten our treasure this year... don't you know they would have the etiquette to get the thing out on time!
OK, I definitely have issues, but please send us your cards!
