Thankful

I had one of those grand feelings of thankfulness come over me tonight. Nana and Pa-paw took us out to eat at Golden Corral for supper. When I was filling up Landry's plate, I noticed that one of the cooks is also a cook at the nursing home where I work. I spoke to him, and I usually speak to him at work too. He's always in the kitchen when I go get my afternoon cup of ice. Anyway, I got to thinking about Edgar's life. He works 6-2 at the nursing home, then no telling how long at Golden Corral. Do you see where I'm going? Thank God for our education, which has facilitated our current financial situation. Sometimes, just when I think we are pinching pennies, trying to save here and there for the infamous budget, I become more aware of how good I really have it!

Now to gripe. I've had a bad back today. Anytime I'm standing up it hurts. No fun. Landry Beth's right ear is stinky again, so I'll get on the horn to Dr. Palmer tomorrow. Yeesh! What was I saying earlier about being thankful? Oh, thank goodness for insurance!!
