We made it back from our camping trip today. This trip was even more fun than the last! We were with the in-laws, who have a camper, so it was a different world altogether. The kids had a great, great time! We got there Friday night at about 6:00, however, Charles did not make it to the campsite until some time later. He had the man syndrome of being lost and not wanting to admit it. This is inside the state park of course. Took a park ranger to get him out of the mess he was in! Anyway, Wayne and Gayle (long time friends of Patti and Charles) had steak and veggies cooked when we got there, so it all worked out just fine! We had plenty of time to get the beds made up and roast a few s'mores before I put sis to bed. I slept with her on one bed and Jason and B slept on the couch/bed.
Kids started waking up at 6:30 this morning... no surprise to me! We had a great breakfast followed by a trip to the climbing rocks. This was a beautiful sight! Braden loved climbing on the rocks, and he was really good at it. Honestly, we were all proud of ourselves to get back up to the pickup when we were done hiking around. Sis spent most of the time on my shoulders. Kayli was with us, too, so the kids played around the campsite pretty much all morning!
Our crew left after our hamburger lunch. We had Tivo'ed the Aggies vs. OU, so Jason was anxious to watch that. Both kids slept all the way home, and I caught about 15 minutes worth of z's myself! I'll post some pictures of the kids, they made the trip extra fun!
