Puppy love

How we got out of there without committing to get a puppy, I just don't know! Landry and I stopped by Kayci's on our way home from Wal-Mart. Jason and Braden had gone to see Chicken Little, so we went shopping! Anyway, Kayli had just gotten a puppy today, a yellow lab that is very light in color and just precious. Our kids, who think they like animals until one gets close in real life, they just loved the puppy. And they even touched it!! Nana thought that meant we needed to get them one. When we said we didn't need to spend that kind of money on a puppy, she offered to buy it for the kids. Now, is that textbook Nana? We got out of there with the understanding that we were not going to have a puppy for now!

I had a busy day at work, but a very productive day. I still got out early and surprised the kids. They are always puzzled when I pick them up because they are expecting their daddy! Sometimes I get the feeling it is a little too disruptive to their routine, and they would just rather daddy do it all the time! You know how kids are about a routine!

Pa-paw invited himself over to spend the night with Braden. Our weekend should be full, as always! Birthday dinner tomorrow, church Sunday morning, then off to a sponsor church service Sunday afternoon. Maybe we'll find a nap somewhere in the middle of all that!
