I've made an effort to block any more ongoing comments to my blog. So, if you have a comment, you can email me. If I want you to have my address, you probably already have it. I'd love to have comments from friends and family, but not from strangers who want to "chat" online!
Braden said "my muscles are wearing down" tonight. He was trying to take his shirt off and he just couldn't get it off! Landry is busy singing "turkey gobble gobble all day" along with the tree-in-the-wind gestures! The kids get the rest of the week off with Jason. We'll start feasting on Thursday, and probably just pork down all the way through Saturday! I'm off Thursday because my time off doesn't kick in until I've been there for 90 days.
I'm losing one of my patients. He has bone cancer, and he is going downhill fast. I try not to get attached, but with some of these folks I can't help it. He is a great man, and he has lived a great life. But, somehow, it never seems fair when cancer clenches down on someone. He is at peace with this being the end of his road, which is very hard to imagine. It's no fun to think about dying, and to know that your time is near- that's hard to swallow.
