Sick boy

My little guy is sick. His teacher wrote on his daily report that he was very quiet and acted like he didn't feel well. I thought maybe he was just tired, and he did fall asleep between Granbury and Tolar. So, we went to Stephenville to the the niece and nephew ball games. Braden just sat in the seat and didn't move around or talk- yep, he doesn't feel good! We went to eat after the first game and he didn't eat- another sign. Then, we headed to the football game, still just sitting around. About the 3rd series of the game he climbed up in my lap and said, "I'm ready to go home." After my twenty questions, he said his belly hurt and his throat hurt. He had a good fever by the time we got home, and of course he slept in our bed. He didn't wake up in the night to throw up, and he didn't feel hot either. We'll see how he feels once he gets up.

I had a moment where I just had to put my head down and try to keep from laughing. I'm glad my hair is so long, because that helped cover my face. We were walking up to the junior high gym, and both kids were holding my hands. About 30 feet away is this older man wearing suspenders and he is quite large. In his loud, expressive voice Braden says, "Oh, look at that BIG guy momma, he gots a HUGE tummy!" I knew these moments would happen, but I just wasn't prepared. It caught me so funny that I just could not stop chuckling. I thought about correcting the grammar- it's has- but I just left it alone!

Landry was all the way herself all evening. There was a man that passed by us walking out of the game and he shook Braden's hand, then he pointed and Landry and said, "Now, she's the boss of this outfit isn't she!" How could he know!
